Free Event Showcases How to Manage and Build a Localization Team
March 22, 2019
“If you cannot properly speak the language and understand the customs of whichever locality you plan to expand into, acceptance within the community and corporate growth will be very difficult,” said Kaarina Kvaavik, chapter manager of Women in Localization Northeast.
Localization goes well beyond translating documents. It means adapting products, services, processes and expectations to meet the legal, cultural and linguistic nuances of target locales.
Event speakers include:
- Carolina Escalona, language services department manager, Verizon Wireless
- Aisha Khan, Globalization Manager, WeWork
- Kristina Ona, lead localization project manager, WeWork
- Yasmin Menon, director of production, Eriksen Translations
The event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Eriksen Translations, Brooklyn, New York. Click here to reserve your space and see additional event details. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided by Eriksen Translations.
