Localization Project Manager
Language I/O is seeking a motivated and energetic Localization Project Manager located in the U.S. with a passion for continuous improvement, to deliver high-quality translation projects in a dynamic work environment. As a Localization Project Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling and tracking localization efforts while communicating risks and priorities to our customers. You will also interact with our linguist pool and run projects in our Translation Management System.
This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with internal and external teams, including but not limited to Sales, Customer Success, and Language Quality.

Requirements:
- At least five years of experience as a Localization Project Manager (at a localization vendor or a buyer)
- Proficiency in translation technology, including knowledge of industry-standard tools (CAT tools, QA Tools, and Translation Management Systems)
- Experience managing translation projects in an array of formats such as XML, JSON, XLIFF, etc.
- Experience using Machine Translation and familiarity with its terminology
- Previous experience managing vendors/freelancers – particularly for daily translation jobs/deadlines, quality concerns, and invoicing questions
- Ability to lead weekly status calls with customers
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with XTM
- Location: United States, with East Coast or Central working hours availability
Nice to have:
- Experience working with major CRMs such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Oracle, and Hubspot
- Familiarity with XTRF
- Familiarity with Machine Translation/NMT program setup and implementations
- Some experience as a linguist/translator/reviewer
- Proficiency in a second language
