To date our focus has been in the customer support space, automating the translation of customer support content such emails and chat within CRMs. We have turn-key apps to get customers up and running quickly for all of the major CRM platforms including Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Zendesk. In a nutshell, Language I/O’s solution makes monolingual customer support teams multilingual so every customer support team can talk to their customers in any language, over any channel. Language I/O’s omnichannel support solution reduces customer support costs while easing frustrations for agents and customers, paving the way for a seamless and high-quality customer experience.
Now that Language I/O has proven our core technology in the customer support vertical, we are poised to expand use of this technology anywhere organizations need realtime, conversational translation. Recent efforts are focused on breaking into tangential markets such as conversational AI (chatbots, virtual assistants), online meeting platforms, learning management systems and the gaming industry.

The Role
Language I/O seeks a highly motivated, talented, and results-driven Vice President of Marketing to lead and scale the global marketing strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Marketing will be a key member of the executive team and will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing a global marketing strategy.
The ideal candidate has experience building and leading an integrated, measurable B2B marketing organization inside high-growth, startup SaaS companies. We’re looking for a focus on demand gen and the ability to roll up their sleeves and get into the details of our paid campaigns as needed, while still keeping a strategic eye on ICP and tangential markets. In this role we also need well-rounded expertise across product marketing, messaging, ABM, content marketing, events, PR and channel marketing. The ideal candidate will know how to build and run a data-driven marketing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global marketing from strategy to execution
- Create a comprehensive messaging architecture and integrated demand generation strategy to engage and nurture prospects and customers
- Recruit, manage, and mentor an exceptional global marketing team
- Build out a marketing waterfall and related strategy that shows how the marketing organization will generate MQLs that adequately fuel the pipeline and enable LIO to meet revenue targets
- Leverage analytics and insights to define, analyze, and measure return on marketing investment
- Partner cross-functionally with sales and product leadership to create a consistent and exciting buyer experience for customers
Requirements
- 7-10 years of integrated and diversified B2B marketing leadership experience, well-rounded in all aspects of the marketing function, particularly digital marketing and demand gen, customer retention, and channel support
- Exceptional understanding of marketing best practices across inbound and outbound channels to engage tech-savvy, enterprise SaaS/software buyers
- Proven ability to lead a high-performing marketing team inside a high-growth company
- Background in building and scaling marketing teams for a startup. A leader with the humility and startup mindset to roll up their sleeves themselves rather than delegate to others
- Demonstrable leadership experience building out a best-in-class marketing tech stack to lead a data-driven global marketing organization aligned with business goals
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills to engage and lead at all levels.
- Hands-on experience in SEO, Google ads & analytics and email campaign workflows
- Collaborative and agile leadership style, enterprise-level problem solver, capable of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve best-in-class results
- A collaborative team player: someone who motivates and inspires a team leading by example
