Language IO + LLMs
AI Translation Built for Enterprise Support
Language IO combines Google Gemini and DeepL NextGen with a decade of translation science to deliver smarter, more natural, brand-accurate translations at scale.

AI has raised the bar for translation quality.
Language IO clears it.
The world’s most advanced Large Language Models have fundamentally changed what’s possible in multilingual customer support. Natural phrasing. Deeper context. Brand accuracy. At enterprise scale.
With Language IO plus
LLMs you get:
1. Superior translation quality
Our LLM engines consistently outperform classic models in syntax and fluency, aligning more closely with native-speaker expectations. They identify source typos, manage social registers and honorifics, and render dates, times, and currencies correctly for each target locale.
2. Smarter terminology handling
LLMs understand domain-specific context well enough to select the correct industry term without an explicit glossary entry, and inflect glossary terms grammatically with 90% accuracy. Your teams provide the base form. The model handles every variation.

Your brand voice. In every language.
Custom prompting allows Language IO to tailor translations directly to your brand requirements, from tone and terminology to style and register. A translation that is technically accurate is the floor, not the ceiling.
With Language IO, your support interactions sound like you, in every market you serve.

Dramatically expanded language and formality support.
Your customers are everywhere. Now your support can be too. Language IO’s LLM integration dramatically expands the number of languages and regional variants you can support, along with granular formality control so translations reflect the right tone for each market. That includes superior performance in regional variants like Latin American Spanish and Canadian French, where getting it right is the difference between feeling local and feeling foreign.

The Most Secure AI Translation in the Industry.
We are the only translation vendor in our space certified to ISO 42001. That is the international standard specific to AI management systems, and we earned it. Your AI governance board will know what that means. Your data is never used to train these models. Ever. Our zero-trace agreement means customer data is processed and discarded. No storage, no training, no exceptions. What goes through Language IO stays with you.
The difference between AI translation and great AI translation is expertise. Anyone can call an LLM API. What you get with Language IO is a decade of translation science, proprietary quality evaluation, and the operational knowledge to extract performance from these models that you simply cannot replicate off the shelf.
No Storage
Every translation is processed in real time and never stored on our servers.

No Training
We never use customer data to train models or improve AI performance.

No Trace
Once translation is complete, your data is instantly and permanently deleted.
We are certified for ISO 42001 and 27001, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR, PCI, and OWASP. For the full picture, visit our security page.

FAQs
What is the difference between an LLM and a traditional NMT model?
Neural Machine Translation (NMT) models are purpose-built translation engines trained to convert text from one language to another. They are fast, reliable, and have been the backbone of machine translation for years. Large Language Models (LLMs) like Google Gemini and DeepL NextGen are a newer generation of AI trained on vastly larger datasets across many types of language tasks. In translation, this means they understand context, industry terminology, tone, and grammatical nuance at a level traditional NMT models cannot match. Think of NMT as a highly skilled translator who works quickly and accurately. An LLM is that same translator, but one who has also read everything ever written in your industry and can adapt accordingly.
What are the benefits to me?
The improvements are meaningful and immediate across several areas. Translations read more naturally and align more closely with native-speaker expectations. Complex conversations are handled with greater contextual awareness. Dates, times, and currencies are rendered correctly for each target locale. Glossary terms are applied intelligently, with the model adapting them grammatically rather than substituting them literally. And with DeepL NextGen adding 84 languages and Gemini adding approximately 140, your multilingual reach expands significantly. Early access customers have already translated over 58 million words using these models since February.
Can Language IO tailor translations to match our brand voice?
Yes, and this is one of the most significant advantages of LLM-powered translation. Custom prompting allows Language IO to configure the translation engine to reflect your specific brand requirements, including tone, terminology, style, and register. This is not something you can achieve with a raw AI translation tool or a standard NMT engine. The result is translations that are not just accurate but that genuinely sound like your brand, in every language and every market you serve. Your CSM can walk you through how custom prompting is configured for your account.
Does this change anything about our agreement?
No. Google and DeepL are already named subprocessors in your existing Language IO agreement. This update expands the capabilities of two relationships you have already reviewed and approved. No new vendors have been introduced, no data handling has changed, and no contract amendments are required.
What do I need to do to enable this?
Nothing, if you want Smart Model Selection to handle it automatically. Language IO’s Smart Model Selection engine evaluates every translation request and routes it to the model best suited for that content. LLMs are now part of that selection pool. If you would like to discuss specific configuration options for your account, your CSM can walk you through what is available.
Can I choose which engine is used?
Yes. While Smart Model Selection will automatically route requests to the best available engine, you can work with your CSM to configure preferences for your account if you have specific requirements around engine selection.
Which languages are supported right now?
At launch, formality support is available for approximately 16 languages. Additional language support will expand gradually after general availability, with DeepL NextGen ultimately adding 84 languages and Gemini adding approximately 140. Your CSM can give you the current list and timeline for languages relevant to your markets.
Are there any security concerns?
None beyond what you have already evaluated. Language IO holds ISO 42001 certification, the international standard specific to AI management systems, and we are the only vendor in our space to have achieved it. Our zero-trace agreement remains fully in place: customer data is never used to train these models. Your data is processed and discarded. No storage, no training, no exceptions.
What is ISO 42001 and why does it matter?
ISO 42001 is the international standard for AI management systems. It covers how organizations develop, deploy, and govern artificial intelligence responsibly. Language IO is the only translation vendor in our space to hold this certification. For enterprise teams with AI governance boards or compliance requirements, it means Language IO has been independently verified to meet the highest standard for responsible AI management currently available. It is not a marketing claim. It is a certification.
How does Language IO ensure translation quality with LLMs?
Every translation, regardless of which engine produces it, runs through our proprietary Translation Quality Evaluation model, which scores it in real time for accuracy and fluency. If a translation does not meet your defined quality threshold, our Quality Failover system automatically reroutes it to a different engine to find a better result. This happens before your customer ever sees the translation. No sampling, no spot checks. Every single translation is evaluated.
What industries are you already doing this for?
Language IO’s LLM-powered translation is already live across a broad range of enterprise verticals including travel, fintech, fashion retail, automobile retail, logistics and supply chain, and oil and energy. Since February, our customers have translated over 58 million words using LLMs across these industries.
