Language IO Now Delivers LLM-Powered Translation

This is a big moment for Language IO and for every customer we serve.

Today I’m proud to announce that Language IO now integrates Large Language Models (LLMs) from Google Gemini and DeepL NextGen directly into our translation engine. For our customers, this means a level of translation quality that traditional models simply cannot match. For prospects evaluating enterprise translation for the first time, it means the bar just moved.

We have been working toward this for a long time. Not because LLMs are new, and not because everyone else is doing it. Because we knew that getting this right required more than flipping a switch. It required translation science, rigorous quality testing, and the operational infrastructure to deliver LLM-powered translation consistently, at enterprise scale, across thousands of daily customer interactions. That work is done. And the results speak for themselves.

Our customers are seeing real, measurable improvements across every dimension of translation quality:

• Smarter terminology handling, with LLMs selecting the correct industry term automatically and adapting it grammatically without manual glossary maintenance

None of this requires configuration changes on your end. Our Smart Model Selection engine evaluates every translation request and automatically routes it to the best available model, whether that is a traditional NMT engine or one of our new LLMs. You get better outcomes by default.

I know that for many of our customers, an announcement about new AI capabilities immediately raises a question: what does this mean for our data, our agreements, and our compliance posture?

The answer is straightforward. Language IO is the only translation vendor in our space certified to ISO 42001, the international standard specific to AI management systems. Our zero-trace agreement remains fully in place. Customer data is never used to train these models. It is processed and discarded. No storage, no training, no exceptions.

And for customers with existing agreements: Google and DeepL are already named subprocessors in your contract with us. This update expands the capabilities of two relationships you have already reviewed and approved. No amendments, no new vendors, nothing to re-evaluate.
