Multilingual customer engagement leader adds to its momentum with addition of chief marketing officer and vice president of product.

CHEYENNE, WY – June 28, 2022 – Language I/O (LIO), a leader in multilingual customer engagement, is adding two key appointments to its leadership team with the addition of Chief Marketing Officer Tobias Rinsche and the promotion of Vice President of Product Chris Jacob.

Today’s announcement continues a year of momentum that began in January with Language I/O earning $6.5 million in Series A funding, bringing the total amount of investment raised to more than $12 million. In addition to these new appointments and two other executive hires this year, Language I/O increased its staff by over 60% and more than tripled its machine translation volume in 2021.

“We’re excited to make these valuable additions to our executive team,” said Heather Shoemaker, CEO and co-founder of Language I/O. “As chief marketing officer, Rinsche’s experience and knowledge in the multilingual technology industry will be extremely beneficial as we continue to expand our reach.”

“Promoting Jacob to vice president of product recognizes the strengths he brings to the company,” Shoemaker added. “He has been a major contributor to Language I/O’s recent growth and deeply understands our goals to connect customers with the technology they need.”

“The talents that Tobias and Chris offer are incredible assets for Language I/O and our customers and will build upon the momentum we’re creating,” Shoemaker added.

Chris Jacob joined Language I/O in May 2022 to lead research and development and quickly elevated the capabilities of the product team. His extensive experience in product and technology management will help the company innovate and find new methods for adapting best-in-class machine translation engines. These developments will provide even higher translation quality, improve agent efficiency through intuitive user interface designs and reduce the effort needed to maintain translation processes.

Tobias Rinsche brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to Language I/O, having led start-ups from launch to profitability and helped boost billion-dollar corporations’ financial reach. He has broad experience in finance, food service, biotech and government sectors, plus more than a decade in the language industry. Before Language I/O, Rinsche was chief marketing officer at Sayari Labs.
