Introducing Language I/O for Google Chrome

Since Language I/O’s inception, our team of software engineers, linguists, and customer support experts have worked diligently to provide the highest quality machine translation tools for customer service. Over the years, we have developed a plethora of multilingual customer support tools, including integrations for leading CRMs such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Oracle Service Cloud, and ServiceNow.

These integrations enable our clients—Fortune 500 companies and global enterprises across industries—to communicate with their customers in more than 150 languages, all in real time and directly from the CRM their agents already use. The benefits are numerous: reduce the cost of providing multilingual support, improve global customer satisfaction and loyalty, optimize occupancy rates and other core customer success metrics… the list goes on.

Our integrations have historically focused on facilitating multilingual communications within the context of a customer support conversation, such as live chat, but we are thrilled to share our first step toward a vision we are calling “Language I/O Everywhere” — our Google Chrome plugin.

Why Language I/O Everywhere? It’s simple: the need to facilitate multilingual conversations is not limited to the customer support use case. Whether for the purposes of IT, human resources, or simply using Language I/O in a CRM or tool for which we do not currently have a turnkey integration in place, our Chrome extension now enables the highest quality cross-language communication to take place just about anywhere.

With Google Chrome having a worldwide desktop browser market share of 67%, beginning the journey to Language I/O Everywhere with a Chrome extension was the logical first step. This extension now offers all users of Language I/O to translate any web content on Chrome, might that content be a website, conversational messages within a CRM with which we don’t integrate natively, specific paragraphs that require translation, and so on.

Furthermore, customers using this technology across the web benefit from Language I/O’s security protocol. As an ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant organization, we do not store any content or personally identifiable information (PII) translated via our system.
